"The world's a forest, in which all lose their way; though by a different path each goes astray."

As part of our Christmas Craft weekend this weekend passed, Mrs M decided that she wanted to make an outdoor 'grown ups' wreath for the front door, as our Spider-man wreath wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in this weather. So on Saturday morning after we had got back from Tae Kwon Do we embarked on a mission to find and borrow (not steal...Borrow!) some holly and other such greenery. We jumped in the car and drove to a local wooded area armed only with scissors, an Ikea bag and earmuffs for warmth (it was freezing).

It didn't take long for us to find some holly and had soon filled the large Ikea bag up, i felt a little guilty and kept visually combing the area thinking someone was going to spot us and inform the authorities of our illegal activities. But thinking about it who really cares about Holly? We walked about for a while looking for pine tree's to borrow branches from but no luck. Seth's back started to hurt which it always does when walking around for a while so we headed back to the car to go home for lunch, swinging Seth over every puddle that we came across.

Before heading back though we stopped off at a florist close by to see if they sold any oasis rings to use for the wreath. Sadly they didn't have any but while we were parked up we noticed some white berries hanging from a bush which we thought would look great on the wreath, so out came the scissors again and we borrowed a few. We have no idea what they are.

After a lovely lunch prepared by Mrs M, Opeie decided to go down for a nap. Mrs M wanted some peace and quiet so she told me and Seth to go out (HOW RUDE!). We went to a local garden shop in search of some oasis which Seth spotted, Seth decided he wanted to pick a Yankee candle while we were there and proceeded to sniff every one in the shop (we were in there a while), Seth just couldn't decide between 'Warm Spice' and 'Sparkling Lemon'. I'm so glad i don't have to make such important decisions in life, he seemed very concerned. In the end we brought both. we then headed to a different wooded area in search of pine tree's for Mrs M.

There were Pine tree's everywhere so it didn't take long to fill a couple of bags with borrowed shrubbery. We got home soon after and Mrs M got cracking on the wreath. Seth on the other hand was more concerned about getting his room smelling nice with his new candles. The Wreath came out looking great for a first attempt and Mrs M proudly hung it on the front door for all to see.

It's really starting to feel like Christmas!
